“Vigilance Awareness Week” was observed by the Aurangabad Commissionerate of Customs and Central Excise from 3-11-2008 to 07-11-2008. A pledge was taken by the officers and staff of the Aurangabad Commissionerate to maintain integrity and honesty in the course of their work. Lectures/Discussions on Conduct Rules, Vigilance Cases and role of individual government servant in curbing corruption were also held. In the concluding session, the Joint Commissioner delivered the lecture on “Prevention is Better than Cure” to emphasize the need for maintaining integrity at all times.

Training program on CAAP (Computer Assistant Audit Program) was held on 13 Oct to 24 Oct 2008 at NACEN, Mumbai. Around 25 officers of various Commissionerate attended the training. The Commissioner, C. Excise, Aurangabad given the valedictory speech on 24th Oct. 2008.

A well-furnished Court Room for C.A.T. (Central Administrative Tribunal) sittings is set up in the premises of Central Excise office, Aurangabad, as per the concurrence given by the CBEC, New Delhi. The inauguration of the Court Room was done on 11.08.2008 by Honorable Justice Shri. Amarjeet Singh Bagga, Member(J), Mumbai Bench, in the presence of Shri. Arun Sahu, Commissioner, Central Excise, Aurangabad.
