The Govt. of India, Central Board of Excise &
Customs, New Delhi has introduced Service Tax Voluntary
Compliance Encouragement Scheme – 2013 (VCES-13) in
respect of non filers, stop filers of Service Tax
returns, non-registrants and those who have not truly
declared tax liability for the period Oct. 2007 to
Dec. 2012. To cerate awareness of this Scheme
amongst the service providers and the assessees, a
sensitization program was held on
19th
September, 2013 at 11:00 hours at
Einstein Hall, Institute of Management, Mahatma Gandhi
Mission Campus, Aurangabad.
The Hon’ble Chief
Commissioner, Central Excise, Customs and Service Tax,
Nagpur Zone, Smt. Jagjit Pavadia inaugurated the
Programme and released a booklet published by Aurangabad
Commissionerate. She appealed the participants to
come forward and avail the benefit of this Scheme and
make it successful. Shri Kumar Santosh, Commissioner,
Central Excise, Customs and Service Tax, Aurangabad
welcomed all the Assessees of Marathwada Region and
appealed the trade to avail the golden opportunity to
make VCES -2013 a grand success. It was
highly successful program and more than 150 members of
the trade, industries and service providers attended the
sensitization program on VCES and well received by the
general public at large.
A power point presentation on VCES -2013 was made by
Shri Dinesh Pangarkar, Additional Commissioner,
Aurangabad. He explained the details of the Scheme
to members of CMIA, ICAI, CREDAI, MASSIA, major service
providers and assessee of Aurangabad, Ahmednagar &
Jalna. The question answer Session was also held. The
delegates/participants raised questions on VCES- 2013
which was replied by the Hon’ble Chief Commissioner and
Commissioner, Aurangabad. Shri R.V. Pradhmesh, Assistant
Commissioner, Service Tax, Aurangabad & Designated
Authority anchored the program.

The 67th Independence
Day, was celebrated with enthusiasm on 15th August 2013
in the Aurangabad Commissionerate. Shri.
Kumar Santosh
Commissioner of
Customs, Central Excise and Service Tax, Aurangabad,
hoisted the flag. A parade was followed by distribution
of chocolates to children. Senior officers along with
their families were present for the occasion.
The meritorious students of the officers of
Commissionerate were felicitated and given cash prizes
on their achievement in 10th & 12th
board exams. |
