Import Documents processing through ICES 1.5 started at ICD Maliwada from            8th Sep. 2010


The processing of Bills of Entry in Indian Customs EDI System (ICES) 1.5 Ver., was inaugurated by Shri. R.K. Jain, Chief Commissioner, Customs, C. Excise and Service Tax, Nagpur Zone on 8th Sept 2010 at ICD Maliwada. Shri. Madhu Mohan Damodar, Commissioner, Shri. Ch. Venkat Reddy, Additional Commissioner, Shri. Virendra Kumar, Joint Commissioner, Shri. O.P. Lalwani Deputy Commissioner and Shri. Sakpal Sr. Systems Analyst, NIC were present on the occasion. With this, Importers and Exporters can file customs documents for clearance from ICD Maliwada, through internet from anywhere in India. They can also ascertain the status of their document on real time basis. Customs duty can also be paid through e-payment from their internet banking account. Drawback given for exports can be directly credited to exporter’s bank account. All licenses issued by DGFT will also be available online facilitating transparency and faster clearance.

 

INDEPENDENCE DAY(15th AUG 2010)


The 64th Independence Day, was celebrated with enthusiasm on 15th August 2010 in the Aurangabad Commissionerate. Shri. Anil G. Shakkarwar, Commissioner (Appeals), hoisted the flag. A parade and inspection of the parade was followed by distribution of chocolates to children. Shri. Ch. Venkat Reddy, Additional Commissioner and senior officers along with their families were present for the occasion.

 

Processing of Scheme Shipping Bills on ICES 1.5 started at ICD Maliwada
(10th JUL 2010)

As Trade is aware, the ICES 1.5 for free Shipping Bills was started at ICD Maliwada from 19.11.2009. In continuation of the same, processing of Export Promotion Scheme Shipping Bills in ICES 1.5 at ICD Maliwada is started from 10.7.2010. Shri. Madhu Mohan Damodhar, Hon’ble Commissioner, Aurangabad inaugurated the processing. On this occasion Systems Manager and Additional Commissioner Shri. Ch. Venkat Reddy, Shri. K.P. Mishra, Joint Commissioner Shri. Virendra Kumar, Deputy Commissioner Shri. Lalwani, Shri. Unmesh Sakpal, Sr Systems Analyst, NIC, Mr. Rao and his staff from M/s Concor , Exporters and CHAs were present.
 

 

Seminar on UNION BUDGET 2010 (28th FEB 2010)

A Seminar on “Union Budget 2010” was organized by ‘Chamber of Marathwada Industries and Agriculture’ (CMIA) and ‘Aurangabad Chapter of Cost Accountants’ (ACCA) at Hotel VITS, Aurangabad on Sunday, 28th Feb 2010. There was a ‘Panel Discussion and Critical Analysis of Tax Changes in Indirect Taxation’. Shri. Arun Sahu, Commissioner C. Excise Aurangabad, Shri. A.G. Shakkarwar Commissioner (A), and Shri. Ch. Venkat Reddy, Additional Commissioner took part in the discussion from the Departmental side. CMIA Hon. Secretary Mr. Ashish Garde, Mr. Kishor Dhule, CMIA Past President Cdr. Anil Save, Mr. Nandkishor Kagliwal, CMIA Past President Mr. Arvind Machhar, Mr. C.P.Tripathi, Mr. Sanjay Mundade and representatives of the Trade and Industry participated in the discussion.
 

 

CENTRAL EXCISE DAY (24th FEB 2010)

 
 The Central Excise Day was celebrated on 24th February 2010, by the officers and staff of Aurangabad Commissionerate along with their families. On this occasion Dr. Nagnath Kottapalle, Vice-Chancellor of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad was the Chief Guest and Madam Kusum Ingle, Commissioner of Income Tax, was the Special Invitee. All the senior officers of the Department participated in the celebrations which comprised of various cultural and sports tournaments conducted over a week and where officers and staff members staff and their families had participated. Prizes were distributed during the function to all the winners. On this occasion participation of the Trade and Industry as partners in country’s economic development was also recognized and M/s. Skoda Auto India Pvt. Ltd, were felicitated as the highest revenue paying unit in the Commissionerate. Felicitation was also accorded to Shri N.V. Joshi, Assistant Commissioner of Ahmednagar Division, a recipient of the Presidential Award this year. Shri Ubaidullah Khan & Shri V.U. Golhait, Superintendents were also felicitated as earlier recipients of this prestigious award. The Function was followed by a lively musical programme as culmination of Central Excise Day Celebration.

CUSTOMS DAY (27th JAN 2010)

 
International Customs Day was celebrated on 27th January 2010 by this Commissionerate. On this occasion, a seminar was organized at the Headquarters office the theme, “Customs and Business-Improving Performance through Partnership”. The distinguished guests and the dignitaries made their valued presence on the occasion.

The panel comprised of Shri Waman Parkhi, Director, BSR and Co., Commander Shri Anil Save of M/s. Atra Pharmaceuticals, Shri Jaykumar Nair, General Manager-Commercial of M/s. Garware Polyester Ltd. Commissioner Smt. Kusum Ingle (Income Tax), Shri Arun Sahu, Shri Anil Shakkarwar Commissioner (Appeals) were participants from the Government side. Other dignitaries included Mr. B.S.Hudda (IFS) and Colonel Shri Om Prakash, Post Master General, Aurangabad.

The seminar dealt with the transformation of relationship between Customs and Trade & Industry in the Common, collaborative endeavor of promoting and expanding International Trade.
